New Land Purchase & Development Project Diary
This page covers how well our New Practice & Mini-Soccer Development Project is progressing.
The Project so Far:-
Jul 2006 - This project officially commenced
Sept 2006 - Plans for Change of Use were submitted to the Local Planning authority.
May 2007 - Planning permission obtained.
July 2007 - Thanks to the support of a local Trust the land was purchased.
Sept 2007 - The club launched a major fundraiser titled Sponsor a Perch, with the aim of raising £18,000 towards the final development stages of this project.

Oct 2007 - The landscaping commenced, (Land levelled and prepared plus grass sees sown).
Nov 2007 - Financial assistance received from the local government’s Education, Sport and Culture department.
Dec 2007 - Application made to the Football Foundation for financial assistance to cover the cost of the final stage of this project
April 2008 - Tree and Hedge planting around the new land completed
June 2008 - Protection Fence erected around West, South and East borders
July 2008 - Plans for Floodlights and Storage Unit with Planning Department
Nov 2008 - Plans for Floodlights and Storage Unit returned for amending
Jan 2009 - Football Foundation Grant Application expired - New Grant Application required
Feb 2009 - New Revised Floodlighting plans being compiled.
April 2009 - Plans agreed but club must use floodlight poles that can be taken down after each practice session
June 2009 - Plans rejected because of impact on country side.
Feb 2010 - 12 Tall young trees planted on South boundary.
May 2010 - Revised floodlighting plans using telescopic poles registered with the Planning Department
Sept 2010 - Planning Department agreed to Floodlight Installation Plans (with conditions)

November 2010 - Projectteam producing new specifications for work involved to complete the project - Also looking at raising sufficient funds to pay for the work
Club Fundraising - Sponsor a Perch Update.
Aug 2008 - Half of the Perches are sponsored so £9,000 has been raised.
