After a scrappy 10 minutes, The Groove took control of the game, very little got near a nervous Richie Dyer, deputising for Garry Lloyd in goal. Chances came and went
Luc Le Miere and Mick McParland working very hard up front, but without the success their efforts deserved. Some good wing play from Scott and Ryan, delivering the best opportunities.
The best chance fell in the last minute, a St Ouen defender having to clear of the line after a goalmouth scramble.
We did not need half time, it changed the game. The Groove starting slowly allowing St Ouen to pen us in our own half. Failure to clear our lines quickly, resulted in the ball breaking to veteran St Ouennais Chris Hamon, to slide a low shot into the bottom corner.
Straight away after the restart, another attack from the westeners forced Calvin to give away a freekick in a dangerous area. Ross Crick, finding the top corner.
2-0 down many teams would have crumbled, We don't, the response was terrific, lots of effort, commitment and above all teamwork, brought us back into the game.
Back in control, creating chances, defending well, midfield taking control. Richie Dyer saving well from Crick, after a rare St Ouen attack.
Bob swapped Ryan with Tex, his introduction causing the St Ouen defenders a new challenge they struggled to cope with. Tex quickly finished of a fine attack, with a neat finish, five minutes later Mick McParland heading in a sweet cross from the left. 2-2 in a flash. More chances came and went Mick having a one on one with the keeper, his shot being deflected agonisingly over the bar.

2-2 a good result after the poor start to the second half.

Well done all.
