With Bob Kearsey in charge for the 1st time, we watched a slow start to the game. The Groove’s passing game taking a long time to get going.The final ball too often going astray, shooting off target and crossing wayward. Caused partly by the difficult windy conditions.
The Second half started much better, passing quicker and more precise, crosses causing more problems for the magpies defence. The breakthrough came direct from a Luc Le Miere corner, the pace and accuracy defeating all and nestling in the far corner.
This settled the nerves, we started to relax and play better, a second soon followed with Mick McParland finishing well.
Bob gave a 1st team debut to Ruben Legge, his movement and strength causing problems for Pies tiring defenders.
Fellow substitute Pete Warrall finished of some good play with a shot that deflected into the back of the net.
3-0 in difficult conditions against a determined Magpies side, a good result.
A good start to Bob’s reign in charge.
8 games undefeated in all competitions, can’t be bad.
